Since July 2011, a company located in Switzerland has decided to remotely monitor the temperature and humidity of refrigerators and the environment containing the stock of veterinary drugs. An ultrasound sensor has also been installed outside the plant. The company is surrounded by a creek that could overflow in the event of heavy rains. In May 2015, heavy rains raised the water level in the creek. A TRMC connected to the ultrasonic sensor set off an alarm that prompted firefighters to come and pump the water just before it reached the company. Flooding and such high moisture levels could have destroyed many medicines.
